TERMS
AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Any ticket purchased and a patron's
entry to The Lost Weekend Festival (Event) is subject to the following terms and
conditions.
Tickets are non-transferable and wristbands are only valid
if they are maintained to the extent that they can be determined authentic and
secure. (This includes no cuts, rips, tears or alterations to the wristband).
Except to the extent permitted by the Trade Practices Act 1974, tickets cannot
be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
The Lost Weekend Festival reserves
the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists or vary advertised events, ticket
prices, audience capacity or viewing arrangements as necessary.
Patrons
attending The Lost Weekend Festival consent to any official filming or recording.
Patrons must observe The Lost Weekend Festival opening and closing times.
Gates open 10am Saturday and Sunday and site must be excited by 11pm each day.
Pass outs are allowed after 3pm each day but if you return management
has the right to refuse entry if intoxicated as per entry the 1st time.
Council by-laws prevent the consumption of alcohol and sleeping in cars on public
land. Patrons are advised that these by-laws will be strictly enforced.
The Lost Weekend Festival is an over all ages event only. Alcohol is to be purchased
and consumed in the licensed area only. The licensed area will comply with all
relevant liquor licensing regulations in accordance with Responsible Serving of
Alcohol standards.
The following items will not be permitted into the
entertainment areas or campgrounds:
- Alcoholic Beverages(subject
to licensing)
- Professional cameras or other recording equipment.
Recording the event in any way is prohibited. Still cameras are permitted where
the photographs taken are for private use, not public display or sale.

Glass bottles or containers or breakable drinking glasses
- eskies
- full (or empty) beverage bottles, cans and containers of any kind
- Animals other the guide dogs for intended purposes

Weapons and dangerous items
- Items which could impede other Patrons
enjoyment
- Flares, Fireworks or exploding objects

Laser lights
- Scooters, skateboards, roller skates, roller blades,
bicycles, unregistered motorbikes
- Any object or device the could
inhibit the ability for entertainers, staff, security or emergency services from
performing their intended duties including, without limitation, whistles, loud
hailer, public address system, bright light sources, laser pointers, or electronic
devices which could broadcast or interfere with the festival operations.
- Any object the patron intends to sell, auction, hawk, distribute, deal
or advertise to sell.
- Any object that could be used to damage or
vandalize the venue (This includes spray paint, advertising stickers, or chemicals
used to damage natural flora) Breach of these conditions may lead to the confiscation
of such offending article and removal of the patron from the venue. The Lost Weekend
Festival accepts no responsibility for confiscated items.
While
attending the event, Patrons must not:
- Cause damage to, improperly
use or tamper with any public facility, structure or building. Facilities including,
without limitation, toilets, drinking fountains, rubbish disposal units, marquees,
stages, scaffolding, temporary building, catering outlets, light towers, generators,
water and electric infrastructure or fences.
- Light or cause to
be lit any fire.
- Operate any event equipment (Generator, vehicle,
sound and lighting system, two-way radio)
- Exit the venue via routes
other than the designated exit and emergency exit (when applicable) gates. This
includes entering prohibited areas within the venue.
- Cause any
damage to flora and fauna on or surrounding the venue. This includes breaking
branches and limbs or uprooting trees or plants, recklessly damaging grassed area,
or contaminating any natural water storage.
- Climb or attempt to
climb any trees, natural features or structures, including, without limitation,
fences, buildings, marquees, scaffolding, light tower, rubbish disposal units.
- Throw or attempt to throw any bottle, stone, stick, or other object
that could be used as a projectile anywhere inside or surrounding the venue.
- Remove or attempt to remove any item or object from the venue or surrounding
area.
- Block or attempt to block any thoroughfare, gateway, passage,
entry or exit point with either themselves or their property.
- Litter
in the venue or surrounding area. All rubbish is to be disposed of correctly in
facilities provided.
- Use any offensive or obscene language, whether
in the presence or absence of other Patrons or staff.
- Behave in
a threatening or inappropriate manner (aggressive, riotous, abusive, or insulting
actions) towards other Patrons or event staff.
- Urinate or excrete
in any place other than the facilities provided to carry out such activities.
- Breach of the above conditions may result in the removal of the
patron from the venue.
Patrons must follow the direction
of all event security, emergency services and staff at all times. In the event
of an emergency, Patrons must follow the venue emergency response strategies and
all instructions given by event management via public announcements, signage and
direct contact.
The Lost Weekend Festival reserves the right to withdraw
any exception to the terms and conditions of entry given to any patron. Following
the withdrawal, Patrons must cease any activity and/or surrender and objects that
may be applicable, otherwise exit from the venue at the nearest exit.
The Lost Weekend Festival reserves the right to refuse admittance to or evict
from the event any person with reasonable cause or who do not comply with the
terms and conditions of entry to The Lost Weekend Festival.
The Lost
Weekend Festival takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
The patron enters the venue at their own risk and to the maximum extent permitted
by the law The Lost Weekend Festival and its employees and all other persons involved
in the organisation, conduct, sponsorship and promotion of the event accept no
liability for any injury, loss, claims, costs, expenses or damage which may be
suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect to the
supply of goods or services (including liability for negligence) and to extent
permitted by the law in the supply of a recreational service, The Lost Weekend
Festival its employees and all other persons involved in the organisation, conduct,
sponsorship and promotion of the event accept no liability for death or personal
injury howsoever caused.
The Lost Weekend Festival accepts no liability
for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions where such failure is
due to circumstance beyond their reasonable control.
If The Lost Weekend
Festival waives any rights available to them under these terms and conditions
on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived
on any other occasion.
If any of these terms and conditions are held
to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining terms and
conditions shall nevertheless continue on full force.
These terms and
conditions are governed by the laws in force in Queensland. Patrons agree to submit
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
WARNING
Patrons attending The Lost Weekend Festival may be exposed to the following
risks:
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions. This could
potentially include exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, strong wind,
heavy rain and hail, or low temperatures. Patrons are advised to be prepared for
all weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise in the form of loud music.
- Exposure to large crowds or Patrons congregating around entertainment
areas where accidents can potentially happen. If you participate in these activities
your rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if you are killed
or injured because the activities were not supplied with due care and skill or
were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified
in the way set out in or on this notice. The change to your rights, as set out
in or on this notice, does not apply if your death or injury is due to gross negligence
on the supplier's part.
- Gross negligence" is defined in the Fair
Trading (Recreational Services) Regulations 2004.
