Your most memorable Festival moment or experience? Our stage manager once fixed things so that I could stand on a podium on the side of the stage and pretend to set my keyboards up while Roky Erickson played a packed tent at Hultsfred in Sweden. He’s very aloof and doesn’t like to have people too close while he plays, so I made myself small and was quiet as a mouse but it was such a treat to get to watch him that closely, he’s just great.
Favourite Artist you’ve seen at a Music Festival? Leonard Cohen’s performance at Coachella last year was about as magical as it gets.
What’s your ideal Festival line-up? Us, PB&J, Jay-Z, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, The Essex Green, Cass McCombs, Joni Mitchell, The Brunettes, Magic Numbers, and Florence Foster Jenkins but she’s dead unfortunately. I can already see this wouldn’t fly with Jay-Z, but I’d settle for just one or two of the above.
What are your tips for attending Music Festivals? Dress to avoid getting cold, wet or sunburned, and take off on your own. In my experience committing to meeting up with too many people always ends up ruining the whole damn thing.

Jamie Cullum heads back to Australia!
Jamie Cullum returns to Australia this April!
Australian audiences were introduced to the music of Jamie Cullum through his widely successful album Twentysomething. Following its release and the popularity of singles ‘Everlasting Love’ and ‘These Are the Days’, the BBC reported him to be UK’s biggest selling jazz artist of all time in 2003 and that is still the case today.
Noted for his ability to deftly move from jazz classics to reworked pop covers to originals that feature elements of both, Jamie Cullum’s ever-growing fan base comprises admirers spanning all ages and genres.
2005’s Catching Tales earned him further praise from critics, fellow musicians and fans as he continued to live up to the nickname ‘Sinatra in sneakers’.
The upcoming tour will be his third tour with Frontier, the most recent being a highly successful tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2006.
Jamie Cullum will perform three shows across Melbourne and Sydney to promote the upcoming Australian release of his long awaited new album The Pursuit.
New album, The Pursuit, his first studio in four years since, features nine original songs and five unique covers that showcase the Grammy and Golden Globe nominated musician’s unique voice and imaginative interpretative skills.
“‘I’m All Over It’ is a cracking pop song, with shades of Elton John in ebullient mood, while Cullum’s cover of Rihanna’s ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ sets modern R&B in a swoopingly grand context. Best of all is the arrangement of ‘If I Ruled the World’, built around a simple three-note progression which will make your jaw drop.’ - Evening Standard
“Stomping piano pop hits, super club R&B and finger clickin’ ruminations on the state of the planet. Proof the thrill is in the chase” - Q Magazine
A true entertainer, selling over 4 million albums worldwide, Cullum’s remarkable instrumental and compositional skills have enchanted album listeners and stadium audiences across the globe, marking this performance one not to be missed.
Tickets on sale Friday 5 March, 9am local time.
Tour dates are:
Friday 16 April: The National Theatre, Melbourne (All Ages) Monday 19 April: The Basement, Sydney (18+) Tuesday 20 April: The Basement, Sydney (18+)

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
Turbo stretching! Haha. There’s a lot of loud music, posing in front of mirrors, pushups..basically preparing for war. Beer and Red Bull are very welcome, but you aren’t, so I’ll see you at the bar, post gig.
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Beef carpaccio, Red Bull and a few virgins
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
Thin Lizzy. Twin guitars, cool lyrics, memorable melodies and a very charismatic deceased front man. It’s all good
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
My song book. Inspiration could hit at any time. A melody, a lyric, a song title. The coolest songs are the ones you bring home from tour. You know they’ve been inspired by a time and place that not everyone gets to experience. Oh, and lube.
What's your secret talent?
Charm. We may look like rat-bags, but behind the brazen exterior are four pretty well bred, articulate gentleman. (Is that a talent?)
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
Our myspace page has links to all other pages. So from there, you can connect on whichever medium you prefer. Twitter and Facebook pages will also keep you constantly updated and very much connected with the band.
Down With Webster
Down With Webster a 7-member, genre-bending, musical juggernaut draws on disparate influences to create a wholly original musical feast. Their chaotic live shows are the stuff of local legend, selling 1000+ tickets as headliners in their hometown of Toronto as an indie band before ever releasing a single or video.
The band writes, produces and performs all of their music, garnering attention from industry veterans as varied as Timbaland and KISS front man Gene Simmons, both of whom wanted to sign the band to their respective labels. DWW won the Rogers Mobile/Universal Music best unsigned artist in Canada contest in 2008.
