I think the first time I did the Big Day Out we were sharing the stage with the Black Eyed Peas before they got massive we had a great time hanging out and the audiences were fantastic

Closure In Mosco
In light of the recent events with their sudden cancellation at the Soundwave Festival, Closure In Moscow have announced a handful of last minute shows before they head to America where they will join the Vans Warped tour!
"We’re beyond excited to announce a handful of shows in the next few weeks as part of what we’re referring to as “The Supreme Turbo Facilitator Tour”," said the band in a statement today.
"We know not everyone in the country is covered on this tour and we’re sorry about that. We’re still working on a few other shows in the near future but we can’t wait to play again and needed to get these announced seeing as how the start of the tour is only a week away"!
"As you can imagine, it’s difficult to throw a tour together last minute so we’re grateful for everyone who has helped out with this. We intentionally chose some of these venues in order to keep the shows special and intimate. There are a few free shows and we’re hoping to add another free in-store or two also. We’re out to make this tour all about having as much fun as possible".
"We’re not sure what our schedule is going to look like before our headline tour so hopefully we’ll see everyone this month! Thanks again for all your support! We’ll see you all very, very soon".
Tour dates are:
Wednesday March 10th – DING DONG LOUNGE, MELBOURNE (18+) Thursday March 11th – HOT DAMN (SPECTRUM), SYDNEY (18+) Friday March 12th – UTOPIA RECORDS, GLEBE (AA) Saturday March 13th – THRILLER (ROSIE’S), BRISBANE (18+) Sunday March 14th – THE HIVE, CARSELDINE (AA) Thursday March 18th – ROCKET ROOM, NORTHBRIDGE (18+) Friday March 19th – BREAKERS BAR, GERALDTON (18+) Saturday March 20th – HQ LEEDERVILLE, LEEDERVILLE (U18)

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
If you were hanging out with John you’d definitely be drinking beer. It wouldn’t matter what else was going on, if you were with John, you’d be drinking beer. Greg and I tend to wrestle before gigs these days. So you could get involved in that if you wanted to. Greg would probably win though. He’s surprisingly strong for someone with spider legs.
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
I can tell you what everyone else would request. Andrew would ask for Jameson’s, Greg for a glass of red, and John would go for a cold Heineken or strong continental equivalent (his words). I’m pretty easy when it comes to drinks. I’d probably prefer to have ten guitar picks on the rider. I lose them every show and always have to beg and borrow off other bands.
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
If I’ve only got one I’ll give a shout out to (sort-of) Brisbane local Stu Larsen. Music for me is all about songs and all about being genuine. Stu writes brilliant, genuine songs and has a great voice to sing them with. It’s not all that often you get a great, simple combination like that in an artist.
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
After my gear it would have to be a pillow. I forgot to take one last time we were on tour and driving through the night starts to get shit when you can’t sleep. Guitar cases aren’t comfortable to rest your head against.
What's your secret talent?
Finding grammatical errors.
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
It’d be a tie between Facebook and Twitter. Myspace is over. Our website is also pretty handy: www.montpeliermusic.net
Down With Webster
Down With Webster a 7-member, genre-bending, musical juggernaut draws on disparate influences to create a wholly original musical feast. Their chaotic live shows are the stuff of local legend, selling 1000+ tickets as headliners in their hometown of Toronto as an indie band before ever releasing a single or video.
The band writes, produces and performs all of their music, garnering attention from industry veterans as varied as Timbaland and KISS front man Gene Simmons, both of whom wanted to sign the band to their respective labels. DWW won the Rogers Mobile/Universal Music best unsigned artist in Canada contest in 2008.
