It was at the Great Escape Festival in Sydney. It was a really nice setting as the stage was set up alongside the Parramatta river. The only problem was about 15 minutes before the show it was raining and there was no crowd in front of the stage. So we where obviously like a little bit worried. Then about 5 minutes to show time, suddenly like clockwork the sun came out as well as a swarm of a few thousand people rowdy and ready to go crazy. Needless to say it was an awesome show and even better because it was in front of a home town crowd!

The Thermals announce Australian dates!
Three-piece alternative/indie/punk rockers, The Thermals, have announced Australian tour dates.
The Portland, Oregon band will play dates in New South Wales and Queensland.
"We are very excited to be coming to Australia in March to play some East Coast dates," says the band in a press statement today.
"Our record is called Now We Can See. You may have heard our singles Now We Can See and the new one We Were Sick on your local radio station. We think it's pretty good! Pret-ty, pret-ty, pret-ty good. Not only are the songs filled with some of our smartest lyrics and sweetest melodies, but the recording is, for us, another great leap in fidelity (you might even call it hi-fidelity), thanks to producer John Congleton (Explosions In The Sky, Polyphonic Spree), who brought massive amounts of sound and bombastic style to the project."
Tour dates are:
Sunday 7th March The Lost Weekend Festival
Tuesday 9th March Oxford Art Factory
Wednesday 10th March The ‘Stro, University of New England
Thursday 11th March The Garden Party, University of Wollongong
Friday 12th March The Pimp & hO-Ball, University of Newcastle

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
Drinking a lot of Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels and Coke. Dressed suited and booted in 60s soul Motown clothes. There might be a couple of ladies there, but all above board. We are gentlemen. Usually the best sh*t happens at the after parties, backstage after the gig. You’re pretty sweaty and tired and it’s not as glamorous as you might think, but definitely a lot of alcohol and a couple of pretty ladies.
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
I had a massage the other day down here in Kings Cross… It’s not what you think; it didn’t have a happy ending or anything. It was actually a proper massage. And I’d probably have one of them before every show.
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
The Prodigy is one of my favourite bands. Gotta shout them out everytime.
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
iPhone. Gotta be the iPhone.
What's your secret talent?
Singing!
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
Twitter… I think.
New Empire
Since their formation, the Sydney four-piece have constantly been experimenting and fusing different styles to create their original and powerful brand of music. New Empire's high energy and powerful live show combined with their heartfelt and honest music makes them one of Sydney's most popular new bands. Awoe magazine has described New Empire as "the essentials of the rock pop culture", and this is clearly echoed by thousands of music lovers across the country.
Forming in the late Summer of 2003, Euphoria Audio are a Rock/Popular band from Wakefield, UK. They have worked closely with producers Stuart Epps (Oasis, Robbie Williams, Jimmy Page) and Steve Levine (Culture Club, The Beach Boys), and most recently have recorded in Trondheim, Norway with Universals D-sign Music (Kylie Minogue, Joe Cocker).
In 2010 the band showcased at the Musexpo music conference in Los Angeles in front of world-wide delegates as well as a performance at the legendary Viper Room.
