We played an amazing festival called T in the Park in Scotland, which was a year and a half ago now, but that was really amazing in terms of being, by far, the biggest crowd we've played infront of, I think it was- we played in the dance tent, and it was the middle of the day, so it wasn't night time craziness, but they packed like 20,000 people into this tent, and it was totally round, it was just the best kind of crowd to be playing infront of, we were really suprised and weren't expecting to get such a big reception, particually in Scotland. We only really had played a handful of shows in Glasgow and hadn't really played anywhere else, so yeah, that's definitely up there.
Ideal Lineup? We kind of actually had this discussion when we first started playing together, before we even did any shows as Cut Copy, we made up these phoney band names and played a few shows at this pub, sort of on the wrong side of the tracks and a bit run down, you could ring up like the night before and get a gig the next day, so it wasn't really like, you know.. anything amazing. But we booked in, I think a couple of times under false names, just to make sure we could actually play our instruments and do everything before we actually put Cut Copy up on the stage, and I think in that year we sort of had this imaginary- it wasn't like a festival it was kind of the idea of billing this gig where it was us headlining with Sonic Youth, and then Daft Punk would be like the warm up DJs, and that was like our ultimate show, ever! And then we've actually played with Daft Punk at the end of last year so we just feel like we've maybe partly lived that dream a little bit, even though they obviously weren't the warm up DJs for us, but yeah, we've ticked off one of those things at least. All we've got to do now is play with Sonic Youth!

The Funkoars announce tour dates
On the back of the phenomenal success of The Funkoars and Ash Grunwald collaboration on the track ‘Little Did I Know’ - February 2010 sees them pull a stellar Double Header show together when they join forces for a special run of dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
With a history running almost 10 years, four albums under their belt, as well as far too many guest appearances and production credits to list, The Funkoars are veterans of the Australian hip-hop scene.
On stage, just as on record, the live shows are Big. Big bass, Big hooks, Big wordplay, Big crowds. The Funkoars are renowned for their remarkable live shows, that are delivered with a brilliant sense of humour, with bangin’ beats, magnetic stage presence and contagious energy, with their usual level of debauchery thrown in.
True to their hard working nature 2009 saw the band release 2 albums “The Hangover” and Premium Edition version of “The Hangover” - and also undertake 2 major national tours. The Adelaide locals and veterans scored plenty of accolades on the road as they took cities and towns by storm with their standout brand of Hip-Hop, and added newfound devotees wherever they went to their ever-growing fan base.
2009 also saw The Funkoars celebrate joining the Golden Era Records family - the newly formed label by fellow Adelaide Hip Hop Legends the Hilltop Hoods - with an all-new “Hangover”. This Premium Edition version of “The Hangover” not only includes the hit singles ‘Black Sally’ and ‘What’s Your Malfunction’, but also the remarkable new track ‘Little Did I know’ which brings them together with ARIA nominated artist Ash Grunwald, and is the inspiration behind the forthcoming run of shows.
With massive support from Triple J over the past year – high rotation airplay and feature album with “Hangover” its no surprise ‘Little Did I know’ is up for voting in Triple J’s Hottest 100.

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
Haha, it could be anything really, from drinking jager to dancing to ‘Shake Your Tail Feather;’ it has happened before… Depends on what side of the actual show you’re there for. We go pretty easy before a gig and after the gig we’ll be drinking if nobody has pinched the drink rider or smashed it too hard.
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
That’s the easiest question in the world to answer: Buck Hunter – Safari, with unlimited credits. BOOM!
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
The band that we just toured with in the states, ‘Fairway to Midland’ is awesome. They were probably one of the nicest touring acts that we’ve ever played with, very accommodating seeing as they were headlining most of the shows and the performance was definitely something to behold. The singer Darroh had a really awesome voice, although he suffered a lot of throat problems in the first couple of weeks. It didn’t stop him though, every night after they played he always exhausted everything he had and it wasn’t uncommon to see him sprawled on the floor with a bloody nose. I was impressed by not only his charisma on stage but by the solidarity of the band backing up his every move. Very entertaining and worth checking out live.
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
Don’t forget your phone charger. Internationally, you also have to remember your passport and a tube of vegemite as that’s pretty hard to come by outside Australia.
What's your secret talent?
I’m the most inflexible person in the world, much like a rod of steel. It takes years of slovenly laziness to be as inflexible as me, quite an achievement. I’m about a foot off touching my toes. Amazing.
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
Well personally I only have facebook out of those three and I hardly ever check it because I have better things to do with the little spare time that I have. Of course the band as whole has a my space site where people can get tour news and the like http://www.myspace.com/karnivool In my opinion Twitter is a fucking waste of phone-internet technology and is the downfall of humanity, much like the snooze button on an alarm clock (see Seinfeld episode). Fuck Twitter. I mean what is the point, really…?
New Empire
Since their formation, the Sydney four-piece have constantly been experimenting and fusing different styles to create their original and powerful brand of music. New Empire's high energy and powerful live show combined with their heartfelt and honest music makes them one of Sydney's most popular new bands. Awoe magazine has described New Empire as "the essentials of the rock pop culture", and this is clearly echoed by thousands of music lovers across the country.
Forming in the late Summer of 2003, Euphoria Audio are a Rock/Popular band from Wakefield, UK. They have worked closely with producers Stuart Epps (Oasis, Robbie Williams, Jimmy Page) and Steve Levine (Culture Club, The Beach Boys), and most recently have recorded in Trondheim, Norway with Universals D-sign Music (Kylie Minogue, Joe Cocker).
In 2010 the band showcased at the Musexpo music conference in Los Angeles in front of world-wide delegates as well as a performance at the legendary Viper Room.
