We played an amazing festival called T in the Park in Scotland, which was a year and a half ago now, but that was really amazing in terms of being, by far, the biggest crowd we've played infront of, I think it was- we played in the dance tent, and it was the middle of the day, so it wasn't night time craziness, but they packed like 20,000 people into this tent, and it was totally round, it was just the best kind of crowd to be playing infront of, we were really suprised and weren't expecting to get such a big reception, particually in Scotland. We only really had played a handful of shows in Glasgow and hadn't really played anywhere else, so yeah, that's definitely up there.
Ideal Lineup? We kind of actually had this discussion when we first started playing together, before we even did any shows as Cut Copy, we made up these phoney band names and played a few shows at this pub, sort of on the wrong side of the tracks and a bit run down, you could ring up like the night before and get a gig the next day, so it wasn't really like, you know.. anything amazing. But we booked in, I think a couple of times under false names, just to make sure we could actually play our instruments and do everything before we actually put Cut Copy up on the stage, and I think in that year we sort of had this imaginary- it wasn't like a festival it was kind of the idea of billing this gig where it was us headlining with Sonic Youth, and then Daft Punk would be like the warm up DJs, and that was like our ultimate show, ever! And then we've actually played with Daft Punk at the end of last year so we just feel like we've maybe partly lived that dream a little bit, even though they obviously weren't the warm up DJs for us, but yeah, we've ticked off one of those things at least. All we've got to do now is play with Sonic Youth!

Crowded House announce Australian tour!
Crowded House, some of Australasia’s favourite sons and one of the most exceptional and enduring bands worldwide, will embark on a national tour this November, celebrating and enjoying the release of the new album ‘Intriguer’.
Returning to Australia following tours of the UK, Europe and US, where the live reviews have been incredible and performances tearing the house down at every venue, the band have been touring in support of their new album ‘Intriguer’. The Crowdies will be on stage for two hours... and more, delivering music the way no other band can with charismatic, hit-fuelled shows for which they are renowned for around the globe.
Highlighted by the unique song writing talent of Neil Finn, Crowded House have an epic back catalogue that includes such incredible songs as 'Weather With You', 'Four Seasons In One Day', 'Don't Dream It's Over', 'Fall At Your Feet' and 'Locked Out', and a series of #1 albums that include ‘Crowded House’, ‘Woodface’ nd ‘Together Alone’. Reuniting in 2007 after an eleven-year hiatus, Crowded House released their critically acclaimed, platinumselling album, ‘Time on Earth’. In June 2010 the band released their 6th studio album ‘Intriguer’, debuting at the top of the ARIA chart to notch up their fifth #1 album. 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the band’s formation, time that has served to make these new shows tighter and more powerful than ever before... and a lot of fun. Joining founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour are drummer Matt Sherrod and US-based multiinstrumentalist and backing vocalist Mark Hart.
Earlier this year the band performed a trio of Australian dates, headlining two festivals plus a rare and relaxed show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
This is Australia’s last chance to see this much-loved band during 2010, giving it their all, all around the country, this November.
Tour dates are:
Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena - Friday November 5 Sydney, Hordern Pavilion - Saturday November 6 Brisbane, Convention Centre - Tuesday November 9 Swan Valley, WA, Sandalford Estate - Sunday November 14 Wollongong, Entertainment Centre - Tuesday November 16

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
If you were hanging out with John you’d definitely be drinking beer. It wouldn’t matter what else was going on, if you were with John, you’d be drinking beer. Greg and I tend to wrestle before gigs these days. So you could get involved in that if you wanted to. Greg would probably win though. He’s surprisingly strong for someone with spider legs.
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
I can tell you what everyone else would request. Andrew would ask for Jameson’s, Greg for a glass of red, and John would go for a cold Heineken or strong continental equivalent (his words). I’m pretty easy when it comes to drinks. I’d probably prefer to have ten guitar picks on the rider. I lose them every show and always have to beg and borrow off other bands.
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
If I’ve only got one I’ll give a shout out to (sort-of) Brisbane local Stu Larsen. Music for me is all about songs and all about being genuine. Stu writes brilliant, genuine songs and has a great voice to sing them with. It’s not all that often you get a great, simple combination like that in an artist.
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
After my gear it would have to be a pillow. I forgot to take one last time we were on tour and driving through the night starts to get shit when you can’t sleep. Guitar cases aren’t comfortable to rest your head against.
What's your secret talent?
Finding grammatical errors.
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
It’d be a tie between Facebook and Twitter. Myspace is over. Our website is also pretty handy: www.montpeliermusic.net
