 My Festival Experience

All Time Low
Your most memorable Festival moment or experience?
Soundwave is amazing but we have always had a blast playing Bamboozle in New Jersey....the crowds have been insane.

Favourite Artist you’ve seen at a Music Festival?
Third Eye blind at bamboozle was insane

What’s your ideal Festival line-up?
Green Day, Blink 182, New Found Glory, All Time Low

What are your tips for attending Music Festivals?
The obvious ones are drink lots of water and bring sunscreen as the days can be long, also maybe a backpack to carry merch? That's what we used to do as kids at the warped tour, other than that just let loose and have a good time. The beauty of festivals is that you can find so many different kinds of artists and maybe even your new favorite band.

KANYE WEST PREVIEWS HIS NEW SONGS HERE ( WELL AT FBOOK HQ ACTUALLY)

Kanye West's next record, allegedly titled Good Ass Job, is scheduled to drop this fall (with a rumored date of September 14), and Kanye has again chosen to premiere new material from the record in a live setting-- only, this time, the setting's a little more intimate. Like, the offices of Facebook intimate.

Consequence of Sound reports via 2dopeboyz that Kanye stopped by the offices of the social networking giant earlier this week and gave its staffers an impromptu a cappella performance of possible Good Ass Job cuts "Lost in the World", "Chain Gang", and "Mama's Boyfriend". So, yeah, there's no beats, but the verses are 'Ye spitting some pretty seriously hard-as-fuck rhymes. There's YouTubes going around of the performances, and you can check those out below.
UPDATE: Kanye has written a post on his blog about the performance. He wrote, "Many times in life I've had to deal with moments of doubt. And as it's been a minute since I've performed any fresh material in front of an audience, this could've been one of those moments… but it wasn't. Your energy was a gift so electric, so genuine, that it really helped me give my best. The energy was so inspiring I had to keep going! I just hope you got as much from me as I got from you…which was everything!"

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
If you were hanging out with John you’d definitely be drinking beer. It wouldn’t matter what else was going on, if you were with John, you’d be drinking beer. Greg and I tend to wrestle before gigs these days. So you could get involved in that if you wanted to. Greg would probably win though. He’s surprisingly strong for someone with spider legs.

If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
I can tell you what everyone else would request. Andrew would ask for Jameson’s, Greg for a glass of red, and John would go for a cold Heineken or strong continental equivalent (his words). I’m pretty easy when it comes to drinks. I’d probably prefer to have ten guitar picks on the rider. I lose them every show and always have to beg and borrow off other bands.

Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
If I’ve only got one I’ll give a shout out to (sort-of) Brisbane local Stu Larsen. Music for me is all about songs and all about being genuine. Stu writes brilliant, genuine songs and has a great voice to sing them with. It’s not all that often you get a great, simple combination like that in an artist.

What's your most essential item to take on tour?
After my gear it would have to be a pillow. I forgot to take one last time we were on tour and driving through the night starts to get shit when you can’t sleep. Guitar cases aren’t comfortable to rest your head against.

What's your secret talent?
Finding grammatical errors.

AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
It’d be a tie between Facebook and Twitter. Myspace is over. Our website is also pretty handy: www.montpeliermusic.net
