News: AC/DC debut #1 with first studio release in 8 years!
AC/DC’s first studio release in 8 years, Black Ice, has stormed into the National ARIA charts at #1 position with the album already certified triple platinum sales (210,000 units).
The popularity of Australia’s biggest export has never been more evident with the band clocking the biggest first week over the counter sales in Australia for the past two years!
Black Ice, the first full-length studio album of all-new material from AC/DC since the release of "Stiff Upper Lip" in 2000, was produced by Brendan O'Brien and mixed by Mike Fraser at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC. Black Ice premieres 15 new AC/DC compositions and performances including the album's first single, "Rock 'N' Roll Train," which saw unprecedented radio play across all radio formats in Australia.
18 Black Ice World Tour concerts sold out in record time when tickets went on sale for the initial round of on-sales, with shows being added in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oakland due to unprecedented fan demand. The worldwide tour - the band's first since 2001 - promotes Black Ice, AC/DC's latest studio album.
Additional appearances throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australasia, will be announced shortly.

Your most memorable Festival moment or experience? Probably the first time we played Falls. It was in Tasmania and we were on a side stage in the afternoon and were just happy to be there. Our friend Mason Jennings played before us to about a hundred people but by the time we came on the entire festival crowd was at our stage! There was literally about 50 people at the mainstage. It was mayhem with too many people in a small area. The front barrier got knocked down and the crowd sung every song so loudly we couldn’t hear ourselves. There’s been many amazing festival stories but that was the first and I’ll never forget it.
Favourite Artist you’ve seen at a Music Festival? Probably Snoop Dogg at a festival we played in Detroit.
What’s your ideal Festival line-up? TBG, Pantera, Biggy, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Fat Freddys Drop, The Clash, The Specials, Kate Bush, Tenor Saw, Tanuki Dub, The Dead Beat Band, Daft Punk, Led Zepplin, Johnny Cash, Bianca Jade
