Sydney 5-piece Amy Meredith can add two more generous notches to the proverbial bedpost after landing support slots with two massive international acts just weeks before the release of their debut single.
The boys will be in acoustic mode at The Factory Theatre in Sydney tonight, Monday 3rd November, setting the scene for a sold-out, unplugged performance from Benji and Joel Madden of pop-rock juggernaut Good Charlotte.
Looking forward into The Future (aka: 2010), Amy have been invited to join the interstellar pairing of Cobra Starship and Owl City, adding a bit of local dirt to Cobra Starship's 'Hot Mess' tour.
This massive score for Amy Meredith is very welcome after a year of hard graft in '09. Between constant gigging and almost obsessively documenting their jaunts online (check out their website to catch up on the happenings!) Amy have been polishing tracks for their debut release on Sony Music Australia.
Recorded on the central coast with Grammy Award winning engineer Brian Paturalski and with mixing duties from the one and only Mark Needham, the 5 piece are very close to sharing their labour of love with the world. You'll get a taste of the final results when Amy Meredith release their debut single, Pornstar, to radio on November 9th.

It’s too hard to pick one, we love festivals. In no particular order: Playing the big Dance Arena at Glastonbury 2008, Main Stage Good Vibrations 2007, Splendour in the Grass 2007, Big Day Out 2009...I could go on and on.
What would be your Ideal Lineup? One stage with David Bowie, Queen (we’d have to bring Freddie back from the dead), Daft Punk, The Cure, Bloc Party, Prince & Bon Jovi (yes, Bon Jovi). There would be DJ sets in between by Sven Vath, Boys Noize and me old mate Ajax.
Favourite artist you've seen at a Music Festival? Daft Punk, David Bowie & Bloc Party
