I remember at the Falls Festival a few years ago after we played there we got one of those little train vehicles and jumped out in the middle of night to this creek bed and went to this little revien and sat there and our eyes started to adjust to the darkness and what was creepy were these things... on the walls they were filled with these glow worms and it was the most fantastic thing... all these different colours- purple, green, white all glowing and that was the most amazing festival experience I've ever had!
When I see a band I always have a moment in show when you have an epiphone at some point when this band is kicking, or the band is about to hit a peak, or something that the drummer does like knock this bottle of beer off the stand [laughs] or something crazy when there is just this sudden abrupt thing and everyone just lets go and that’s what I love of that experience... people not worrying about the past or the future.
Ideal Lineup? On a historical sense, definately love to have Bob Marley of course, but apart from that I really love going to festivals because you see bands that you’ve never heard of before and you know that’s how I met Blue King Brown, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, R.E.M., John Butler, The Public Enemy... throw any of those bands on a festival and it will be good but its about finding something that you never imagined.
Tips for attending Music Festivals? My tips [laughs]... Always bring your own roll of toilet paper and the other is only look at the festival schedule if absolutely necessary... like if you know that the Black Keys are your most favourite band in the world and you need to know what time they are playing, then look at the schedule but otherwise just walk around!

My Chemical Romance announce Sydney Sideshow!
Few bands can match the level of fan devotion heaped upon My Chemical Romance; and rightly so, as they have truly earned their status as one of the most exciting bands of this generation. The fact that the devotion is returned in equal measure by the band makes it even more of a phenomenon.
My Chemical Romance’s second studio album ‘Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’ went on to sell over 2 million copies but it was the theatrical concept album, ‘The Black Parade’ that catapulted them into stadiums across the globe. “This is one to file alongside 'American Idiot', 'Doolittle' and 'Nevermind' on your greatest rock albums shelf “– NME
With their souls bared on truly astonishing lyrics, backed by infectious and intricate music, the band are well known for giving their all on the stage and as Blunt Magazine so succinctly puts it they are simply “one of the greatest live bands in the world.”
Joining My Chemical Romance on this brilliant double bill will be The Get Up Kids.
1999 marked an important year in history - the world awaits the consequences of the Y2K bug, war erupts in Kosovo and the Blair Witch project becomes the most profitable film ever. September 28th, 1999 also marked an important day in music history with The Get Up Kids landmark release, ‘Something to Write Home About’... "It’s original, powerful, aggressive, heartfelt... it is simply the greatest pop punk album ever written." – Sputnik Music On the back of their Soundwave 2010 appearances.
My Chemical Romance will be performing one club show only in Australia. Tickets go on sale Friday 20 November at 9am.

If we were hanging with you and your band backstage, what would we be getting up to?
Either someones gonna be passing around Jagermeister shots or you could expect us to be warming up to some Brazilian Jiu jitsu just before the set. Boys like to work up abit of a sweat before we hit stage(yep that includes you if your there!)
If you could request anything on your rider what would it be?
Socks, socks, socks! Oh and underwear. Man those are the essentials straight after a set, haha. Theres nothing worst than hoping of stage and forgetting fresh change of clothes and then walking around like you just jumped out of the pool with your clothes on.
Give one of your personal favourite bands a plug.
MESHUGGAH. Daam those dudes rip. Had the honor of having them stay at the same hotel as us and managed to get a photo with them. the lords of progressive Metal.
What's your most essential item to take on tour?
Iphone and protein shaker. Iphones kick ass, and the protein shaker gets my A into G.
What's your secret talent?
Brazilian jiu jitsu/MMA. Run a school and love it religously.
AND... Where are we best to stalk you: MySpace, Facebook or Twitter? Which one's updated the most?
Most definitely Facebook. I'm on there everyday. Good way to catch up with old friends.
