Delta Goodrem fans came from as far as Alice Springs on the weekend to support the popular singer songwriter at her Melbourne instore on Saturday August 16th. Goodrem performed her new single ‘I Can’t Break It To My Heart’ as well as her hit ‘In This Life’ to over 4,000 screaming fans at Westfield Plenty Valley. Some fans camped overnight, others formed a queue from as early as 6.00am on the day, with the line overflowing out of the centre entrances.
Delta rewarded the fans dedication with her own marathon effort meeting each fan and signing for over 9 hours! Westfield’s reported a lift in trading at the centre with centre management keeping the building open until late in the evening to accommodate the overwhelming demand from Goodrem’s fans.
Of the experience Delta said; “My fans are so loyal and supportive, I had a great time connecting with so many people and I can’t wait to be with my fans from Brisbane later today and all my supporters in Sydney on Thursday! This is just a taste of things to come - the real party will start when I can take my band on the road for the ‘Believe Again’ tour early next year!”
Goodrem has returned to Australia for two weeks to support the release of her fourth single ‘I Can’t Break It To My Heart’ lifted from her triple platinum #1 album ‘Delta’ as well as promote her first concert tour in three years with tickets on sale this Thursday August 21st. The singer will return to the US at the end of the month to continue promotion in support of the album’s release in the coveted American market.
