Usher

“What makes me the most proud is that this album has given me the opportunity to let my fans know who I am now, a different me, a changing me, a growing me. HERE I STAND” begins a new chapter in my life.” Explains Usher in the linear notes of his new album. And an absolute belter of an album it is!

Always a man who wears his heart on his sleve, Usher has exposed fans to the inner sanctum of his life in a soulful yet sexy reflective album that documents a man clearly on top of his game, both in his private and professional life.

Clocking in at a mammoth 72:09 and delivering 15 long awaited new tracks, Usher has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business to deliver this lyrically potent album, with Will.I.am, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.

Following an initial swag of seductive tracks including the annoyingly catchy first single, Love In This Club and This Aint Sex, Usher reveals his softer side with Prayer for You, a tender dedication to his newly born son, Cinco.

It’s at this point that the album really kicks in and sees some of the real highlights of the album discovered including the soulful Something Special, and barrage of potential singles including Before I Met You, What’s a Man to Do, Best Thing.

In one of the finest R&B releases of the year, Usher has proven to fans and critics alike that he has what it takes to become one of the R&B powerhouses of his time.
