After a somewhat low build-up, The Palace filled with a surprisingly large crowd from far and wide. It seemed that Axl's dubbing "the Pigeons of Shit Metal" had little impact on the audiences enthusiasm to be there.

After a very energetic set from Irish band The Answer, the audience was definitely pumped for a night of garage rock.

Not surprisingly, much of the front few rows seemed to be rich in females, much to the delight of front man Jesse Hughes. Hughes proceeded to jump down to crowd level and engage in a very passionate make-out session with one very happy fan before making his first appearance on stage.

In playing tracks from the recent album 'Death By Sexy' including single, "I Want You So Hard", "I Got A Feeling", and the ever so fun, "Cherry Cola" the Eagles did not dissapoint. Fortunately for older fans, the Eagles played a swag of hits from 'Peace Love and Death Metal' belting out songs such as, "I Only Want You" and "Speaking In Tongues".

The lack of variety between the sound of songs was a bit disappointing, however, Hughes antics and wit almost seemed to make this factor obsolete. Whilst parading around in a cape, Hughes continually made both sleazy, and somehow tasteful comments to the row of screaming females in front of him.

Ending with a rather long encore, the Eagles of Death metal capped off a fabulous two hours of garage rock with "Poor Doggie", making sure the crowd definitely got their bone.
