Access All Areas.net.au: Firstly Lisa, thanks for joining us at Access All Areas!

Access All Areas.net.au: Whenever we hear about Lisa Scott Lee, we also hear about the Steps association in that of "ex member". Do you hope to lose that association one day and be known as a solo artist?
Lisa Scott Lee: I'm proud of my days in Steps & I'm still close friends with the guys, so I never want to lose that association. But it's important that people now see me for me, and what I can do as a solo artist. But I'll always be proud of what I've achieved both as part of Steps and for my solo material now!

Access All Areas.net.au: We'll get the Steps questions out of the way first.... Earlier in the year it was rumoured that Steps had been offered over 3 million pounds to reunited; any truth to that?
Lisa Scott Lee: It is true that Steps were recently offered a large amount of money to reform & maybe if the time is right, one day we will... but right now I'm just focusing on my new album!

Access All Areas.net.au: Was there any ever doubt of continuing a career in the music indsutry when Steps split?
Lisa Scott Lee: When Steps split I never doubted continuing my career in music coz it's the love of my life; not just a job. It’s all I've ever wanted to do!

Access All Areas.net.au: In your time as a solo artist, what have you found to be the challenging opposed to when you were in Steps?
Lisa Scott Lee: Some aspects of being solo are more challenging then being in a pop-group, like not having the company & support of a group but on the other hand, it's easier when writing songs coz I don't have to compromise my musical tastes. I'd say it's been less challenging & ultimately more exciting!

Access All Areas.net.au: We're lucky enough to be getting a release of the single Electric; is that track a taste of what's to come album wise? Can you tell us a bit about the
album's sound?
Lisa Scott Lee: The album is called 'Never or Now' after one of my fave songs on it - also, after writing & working on it for 3 years, I'm ready to release it to the world, so it really is now or never! The album is like a journey, I start off as 'Dance Diva' with a sexy little dance track that I co-wrote called 'Lately' (which was a big hit in the UK!), this is followed by a portion of pure pop/dance before I turn into 'Rock Chick' with some wicked pop/rock tracks like the title track. I'm very proud of it & I hope everyone love's it!! I'll be posting some tracks on my official website www.lisascottlee.com soon so keep checking the site if you want to hear the album!

Access All Areas.net.au: Any plans to head to Australia anytime soon?
Lisa Scott Lee: I'm hoping to come out to Oz some time this year as I've been before with Step's & I love it there! I think Australia is cool!

Access All Areas.net.au: Most bit hits these days seem to be covers or remakes- any chance of you reinventing an oldie for a future release?
Lisa Scott Lee: I'm up for covers if they're done well. In fact, I've got a cover of the dance classic 'You sure do', originally by Strike, on my new album. It’s a great track to also have fun when I perform live as well...it's such a feel good song!

Access All Areas.net.au: You were part of a UK version of something similar to "Newlyweds" called "Totally Lee Scott"- can you tell us a bit about that?
Lisa Scott Lee: I recently filmed a 'fly-on-the-wall' show for MTV called 'Totally Scott-Lee'. It followed my family & I, showing the up's & down's of the music business. It was strange being followed constantly by a TV crew, but it was a good experience & a big hit in the UK! In fact, it was the highest rating TV show in the UK last year! It’s also being shown in lots of other countries, including Spain, South Africa, other parts of Europe and hopefully Australia soon!

Access All Areas.net.au: You're taking more of a singer/songwriter role with your latest material; are you enjoying the challenges as a writer?
Lisa Scott Lee: I am absolutely enjoying my role as a singer/songwriter. I love the process of creating a song, recording it & performing it. It gives me a buzz. And it also allows me to bring more of my personality to my music; having some artist control is such an important part of growing as an artist.

Access All Areas.net.au: I'm attempting to score a "scoop" with every artist I chat to. Is there a little something you can give us that no body else knows?
Lisa Scott Lee: Something that not many people know about me is that I'm a huge INXS fan & I've got all their albums on my ipod!

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

After being followed by MTV cameras for almost a year filming Totally Scott-Lee', the new 8-part reality TV show charting the daily lives, loves and career fortunes of Lisa Scott-Lee, Lisa is 'fully-charged' and ready to take to the stage once more with her new single 'Electric', written by 'the' Guy Chambers and Ben Adams, former singer with A1.

Lisa Scott-Lee, one of the hottest and most familiar faces in British 'celebrity' pop, releases 'Electric'!

'Electric', has the stamina to stand proud in the middle of the dancefloor next to Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera: 'Electric' is a 'real' flirtatious piece of pop class.

As well as being followed by cameras, Lisa is currently touring every club in the country with her refreshingly untamed new musical direction. 'I am really putting in 110%, Totally Scott-Lee is a big gamble for me, but I'm a fighter and up for the challenge. I'm obviously petrified that my single won't make Top 10. but I'm putting my career in the hands of the public, 'Electric' is a fantastic track, a real pumping dance floor filler! I've always been a closet raver at heart,' confesses Lisa, 'so it was natural for me to do something uplifting with the dance sound I love.' 'I wanted to release something with a feel-good factor stamped on it, 'Electric', is sexy, chic and a whole lot of fun,' she says, demurely.

'I'm not ashamed of anything I've done in the past, STEPS was a fantastic experience for me, but I think it's time to look at the here and now.

And what a here and now it is, Lisa is set shock with her electrifying all-pouting sexy new image, a million miles away from her chart-busting exploits of her former band STEPS, and straight into a mature limelight specifically shaped for her... Shocking, but true, Lisa Scott-Lee is electric.........
