A group of high-school students averaging at the age of 17 and a three-piece band originating from Brisbane’s northern suburbs, "Divisions" is a group with influences coming from many diverse ends of modern pop culture’s musical spectrum.
Divisions create very melodious music which appeals to both "underground" and mainstream audiences & subgroups. Divisions formed in the first quarter of 2005. Going through three different names (The Modular, Aeon & Divisions), they have since recorded three CD E.Ps and have performed throughout Brisbane -- a recent performance being support for 'Repeat Offender' at Brisbane's Riverstage. Divisions are about to release their fourth CD. Their distinct sound is instantly recognizable.
Recent performance reviews claim Divisions to be an experience to both the ears and the eyes, praising how all three performers not only musically perform, but engage their audience in any environment with big stage presence. Divisions put hand-in-hand musical and physical energy with performance, and are truly a group that should be experienced visually as well as aurally. |
