Access All Areas.net.au: You guys are already making a pretty big splash with your first single, and you play your first ever you must be excited at how fast things are moving for you guys? Dash & Will: Yeah, everything is pretty exciting and hectic at the moment! We haven't known what to expect... but so far so good! We started recording some songs from the album last year, so in a way we have been waiting to get the ball rolling for quite some time!
Access All Areas.net.au: So tell us what can we expect from the album “Up In Something”? Dash & Will: Well, it's a fresh, energetic and youthful sound, full of harmonies and our individual personalities. A major aspect in our recording process has been ensuring people see and hear that we are two different personalities, who come together through the music.
Access All Areas.net.au: So one thing I found intriguing about you guys was that the name ‘Dash & Will’ derives of names you would call yourselves if you were boys… how did such an idea come about? Dash & Will: We were sitting in Dash's lounge room with her parents, brainstorming ideas for band names; which was a regular past time of ours! One of us asked Dash's parents what she would have been called had she been born a boy, and they said "Dasher". So Will called her parents and asked them the same question, to which they answered "William". Hence, Dash & Will!
Access All Areas.net.au: You’ve already had the experience to tour with some great bands – End Of Fashion, Ben Lee, Matt Costa and Faker’s Nathan Hudson, who was your favourite to tour with and any good stories that you came away from with? Dash & Will: We have had some awesome times playing with every band so far, but one of the best tour's we had was with Matt Costa; this was the first time we had gone away for a while, and the boys in the band were so enthusiastic and would get us up on stage with them and let us drink their rider!
Access All Areas.net.au: For those not yet lucky enough to have caught a Dash & Will show, can you tell us what to expect? Dash & Will: You can expect a lot of high energy and movement along with what we feel are catchy songs that people wanna sing along to!
Access All Areas.net.au: Your style of music is certainly stand out in today’s market – its very unique, how did both move in to that style of music when you came to writing material? Dash & Will: As we are two different people, we both bring different elements, sounds and ideas to the songs. This really helps create that "unique" sound; which means we are not confined to only one person's perception of a song.

The first thing you should know about Dash & Will is that they are a duo of 18-year-old singer/songwriters from Melbourne. They’re real names are Charlotte Thorpe [Dash] and Josie De Sousa-Reay [Will]. Dash & Will are the names the girls would been called if they were born boys.
What you need to know now is that Dash & Will are finally ready to release their debut single, PICK YOU UP is an euphoric slice of sweet and indie pop rock that will have everyone jumping around, shaking their hair and singing along in no time.
Youthful, beautiful and multi-talented, Dash & Will sound like they’ve been performing together their whole lives, which isn’t too far from the truth.
Already in 2008, Dash & Will have played gigs all around Australia, supporting the likes of Matt Costa, Ben Lee, and Faker’s Nathan Hudson.
