Chris Brown: Promotion, a lot more promotion... a lot of different things.. a lot man!
Access All Areas.net.au: How are you? How are you finding your staying out in australia?
Chris Brown: Its cool! Tts great It's like the states, I really feel it... Its really great!
Access All Areas.net.au: How long are you in sydney for?
Chris Brown: Im in Australia for like another four to five days!
Access All Areas.net.au: Where are you staying?
Chris Brown: At a hotel!!! *laughs*
Access All Areas.net.au: Who inspired you to become a singer?
Chris Brown: Michael Jackson, as well as a lot of myself, my mum and god!
Access All Areas.net.au: How many songs have you written yourself?
Chris Brown: On my album I wrote 'Thankyou', and co-wrote 'Winner' and a little bit of .Whats My Name'.
Access All Areas.net.au: I love your song 'Winner', I listen to it least 5 times a day so thanks :D

Chris Brown: Yes lol!

Chris Brown: No, not at all lol

Chris Brown: Ive been singing, since I was two!
Access All Areas.net.au: You were great on Rove but are you coming to the Gold Coast at any stage? cause I couldn't make it to sydney for your signing tonight and i'm really gutted!
Chris Brown: Well I think I will be doing a lot more performances over the city but I am not sure on all the performances that Im doing
Access All Areas.net.au: What made you get into rnb music?
Chris Brown: Ummm, really just singing when I was listening to Michael Jackson. They really got me in to RnB!
Access All Areas.net.au: How do you feel of the success of Run It?
Chris Brown: I feel great! Its just a blessing... its just really a great opportunity!
Access All Areas.net.au: Tell us something people wouldn't know about Chris Brown?
Chris Brown: That Im six one and that Im just a regular kid!
Access All Areas.net.au: Can you tell us a bit about your new album?
Chris Brown: Its incredible, it has a lot of songs, a lot of great songs, a lot of great producers and it helps out teenagers!
Access All Areas.net.au: Do you find freinds and people treat you differently now?
Chris Brown: People do now but not my friends... my friends treat me the same.

Access All Areas.net.au: What would you like to do once if and when singing carear should ever be over would you like to produce or move on to something totaly difrent?
Chris Brown: Produce, write and act!
Access All Areas.net.au: Are you enjoying your promotional tour and where have you been so far outside of the USA?
Chris Brown: Yeah Im enjoying everything! Ive been to Japan, to Berlin, To Holand... everywhere... Paris, Australia lol
Chris Brown: Ive been to a lot of different places like Canada, Norway... all over the world.
Access All Areas.net.au: How are you coping with all the fan websites and all the girls thinking you are hot ? lol
Chris Brown: Im diggin it
Chris Brown: I love all the ladies!
Access All Areas.net.au: Have you any plans for a full future Australia Tour?
Chris Brown: Yes... Definately in the future!
Chris Brown: I cant wait - its going to be fun! I cant wait!
Access All Areas.net.au: Will you visit most capital cities or just the East coast of Australia?
Chris Brown: Right now just Sydney and New Zealand. I really can't go to too many places... but when I come back, I'll go everywhere.
Access All Areas.net.au: Your CD went to #1 on the USA Billboard....how did you feel about that?
Chris Brown: I felt great... it was just a blessing just to be able to have my song number 1!
Access All Areas.net.au: Will you ever do an album of just soul music because you have the best voice?
Chris Brown: Maybe! Possibly! Yes!
Access All Areas.net.au: Do u have girlfriend ??
Chris Brown: Not at all!
Chris Brown: Im looking for one though!
Chris Brown: Keep those eyes open cause Im definately looking for one!!!
Access All Areas.net.au: Do you still attend school or are you being tutored? What subjects are your faves?
Chris Brown: Favourite subject is Math

Chris Brown: Definately stay focused and love what you do!

Chris Brown is a lot like the 16-year-old boy living in the house next door to you: one minute he's 5'7", the next he's 6'1". One minute he's a cute little boy trying to dribble a basketball, the next a superstar point guard. One minute he's ducking under the covers pleading for five more minutes of shut eye, the next he's racing through a day full of recording, performances and interviews.
With his easy going demeanor and schoolboy charm, Chris could easily be somebody that you know. He's not part of some A -list producer's camp. Nor does he hail from any of those famous urban music hubs like NYC, Compton or the ATL. Straight from Tappahannock, Virginia, population 2000, Chris Brown proves that real talent, persistence and charisma still have a place in the music industry.
Chris got his musical initiation early on, inspired by what he refers to as the "eclectic" taste of his parents and soaking in the sounds of his favorites: Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Anita Baker and Aretha Franklin.
But, like most young boys, he was soon drawn to rap and was certain that he would be the first emcee to put Tappahannock on the map. "I was rapping," he recalls. "I didn't understand that I could sing until I was like 11 or 12. My mom heard me singing around the house and she said, 'What are you doing? You really can sing!' So then I started going to school and singing to the girls."
By the time he was 13, Chris realised that his voice was more than just a chick magnet. And so did his mother as she began to hook her son up with various producers. "When I went in and started working, there were ups and downs but I loved it and I knew I wanted to do it for the rest of my life." |
